Do you ever have "new technology ignorance guilt"?
You know, when you hear lots of folks talking about the latest gadget or the hot new thing, and your mind is just thinking, "HUH??" and then "Yikes! I really should know what this is."
I have to admit that this is me from time to time.
I think I must be part Amish or something :-) --I resisted getting a cell phone for a long, long time, and I only just recently figured out what the iPod frenzy was all about. I'll also take an old fashioned paper dayplanner over a Blackberry any day.
So, I'm not one of those gadget freaks who rave about all things techie, but it seems like everywhere I look folks are talking about "podcast this, and podcast that," and I'm wondering, "Um, could someone please tell me what's this all about?"
I bet you can guess who I'm gonna turn to for help. Andy's the resident tech-god in my life :-), so I've just been waiting for him to run his Podcasting Bootcamp class again.
I'm planning on soaking up as much info as I can at the free preview call. You're welcome to come too--all you have to do is RSVP.
Here are the details:
Podcasting Class--Free
Tuesday, November 21 at 3pm EST
(BTW--I think one of Andy's specialties is gently dragging techno-phobes and part-Amish folks into the 21st century. He has the patience of a saint and is a dynamic, entertaining instructor, so it's no suprise that his parents are both elementary school teachers.)
Oh, and don't worry-- I'll be sure to let you know if the folks on the call strong-arm him into any more crazy deals, like what happened last time (hee hee :-)). Truly--he's a really sweet guy, so if you go to the call, try your best not to take advantage of him!:-)
