Um, I have to admit that parts of "The Secret" movie make me laugh, and they're the parts that aren't supposed to be funny.
But, you know, laughing is supposed to be good for the soul, so in a round about way, I guess "The Secret" movie is doing it's job.
Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly believe in the gratitude, the gratitude rocks, the focusing on an end goal and believing that it can be yours. I believe that the attitude and vibes that we put out into the universe somehow comes back around to us.
Being positive is always a good thing. Assuming an outcome will be favorable is never a fault.
That said, this video I found of a little visualization technique based on "The Secret" movie made me chuckle.
Is it just me, or does this make anyone else laugh?

I laughed out loud! Thanks, Sharon. Americans get everything all wonky when it comes to manifesting. We are so focused on "things." We are so convinced that more money will make us happy. I haven't seen The Secret or read the book, and I do believe in gratitude and our ability to create our own reality, but I also remind myself to be careful what I wish for. Here's a good example: As you know, I'm gay. A few years ago after a difficult breakup, I decided I was ready to date again, so I opened to the universe: I am ready to date. Within a week, two people asked me out, both of them men.
Happy manifesting!

Hey Verna,
I know! This video just feels weird. I would just feel totally ridiculous doing this exercise. But, on the bright side, it DID make us laugh, which is part of the secret of attraction.
Oh, and that is so funny about the dating fiasco! Apparently you have to place a more detailed order!
Sidenote--why didn't the universe know that you're gay? Seems like that's a piece of info that the universe should be cognisant of :-). Oh well, we'll cut the universe some slack on this one.
