If you missed the kick-off call for "The Secret" movie 30 day challenge, don't sweat it.
Andy recorded it, so here it is for your listening pleasure.
You can also find the worksheet download there, plus a mindmap of the history of the Law of Attraction.
I didn't know quite what to expect from the call, but I was pleasantly suprised and ended up learning a bunch! It also inspired me to make some tweaks to my plan.
Some interesting things they covered--
- The slickness of the movie and how there is a technique used in Marketing/Advertising that involves putting the viewer into a light hypnotic state (if you've seen the movie, you know that it is a marketing masterpiece--extremely slick and calculated). I don't think they were saying that this was a bad thing, although it's something to be aware of.
- How to set really good, reachable goals-- For example, instead of saying you want to "manifest" a romantic relationship with Scarlett Johansson, dig a little deeper and re-focus on what is the feeling you want to manifest (acceptance, love) and ultimate result (finding a soul mate).
So instead of picking a particular person or thing to attract into your life, ask yourself how you ultimately want to feel, then work backwards from that. I need to listen to the call again on that part. I think that part was key.
- They also went over how the techniques practiced in The Secret are valuable not only for bringing material possessions into your life, but more importantly all the mental re-focusing is excellent in helping folks deal with unresolved issues from their pasts and overcoming negative thinking.
A very valuable call, and definitely worth a first, second or third listen.
I'm downloading to my iPod now....

Do you think that I will get enough from it if I just listen and don't see it?

Hey Maryam,
Yes, I think you can get enough, definitely. I also have written up my notes on the movie, so you can get all the juicy details there. Here is the link to those notes: http://www.esoupblog.com/2007/02/the_secret_movi.html
